After a conference in April on town centres and the new Scottish legislation to encourage communities to take over control of their assets, we had a follow up meeting, we now plan a public meeting on Tuesday 15 October at 7:30pm in the chambers of Ayr Town Hall.
The idea is to decide if we want an Ayr Community Development Trust to take ownership of part of the High Street, and redevelop it along with parking land to provide amenities like homes for rent and community resources for ourselves and visitors.
We need to form an interim committee and work on a constitution if we decide to go ahead,
